THE MAKER.
The founder of Kanika has lived in the tropics with her family for 13 years. During that time, she did volunteer work for many different projects. In Thailand, she arranged for the sale of their handcrafted products for these projects. Returning to the Netherlands, she decided to continue working with these groups. This is how Kanika Import Handicrafts was created in 1994.
DID YOU KNOW…?
Kanika consciously chooses to work with producer groups from less developed countries. By personally visiting the producer at least once a year, the organization builds on a lasting relationship. It offers the producer support in product development, among other things.
